Time is an ingredient and will always
be a guiding principle of The Test Kitchen.
On February 1, 2017, Josh opened a small, tasting menu restaurant called The Test Kitchen.It quickly became a darling of the local dining scene. The following year, Josh opened two new concepts in quick succession: Savage, a pre-industrial dining restaurant that opened in April, and four month later, a new tasting menu room called Helm.

After a yearlong hiatus, Josh was inspired to revisit The Test Kitchen, opening it in November 2019 in a different location, reimagined format and a renewed sense of purpose.
